The Objective Of This Contract Is To Perform Road And Bridge Maintenance, Upgrade And Construction Works On Bc Timber Sales Forest Service Roads Within The Kootenay Lake Field Unit Area. Project Works Assigned Under This Contract Vary In Nature From Basic Repairs Or Routine Maintenance And Road Deactivation To More Complex Work Including Implementation Of Measures Of A Structural Or Construction Nature, Prescribed By A Professional Engineer Or Geoscientist. Additional Activities May Include Structural Upgrades, Repairs And Deactivation, And Reconstruction Of Roads And Bridges. Works Will Require A Broad Range Of Equipment From Light Duty And Small Equipment For Minor Repairs And Routine Services To Large Equipment Required For Heavy Work Such As Rock Production And Placement. Equipment And Qualified Key Personnel To Be Supplied Is Specified Herein. Post Award, The Selected Contractor May Supply Additional Equipment Or Attachments For Payment Under This Contract, Subject To Bcts Approval And Contract Amendment. Prospective Bidders Will Submit All Found Hourly Equipment Rates, Which Must Include The Cost Of Fuel And Consideration For Fuel Cost Fluctuations That May Occur During The Term Of The Contract. Provincial Fuel Pricing Adjustments Will Not Be Applied. The Timing Of Works To Be Assigned Will Vary According To Priority As Assessed By Bcts.
