Background South African Tourism requires the services of a professional printing supplier to design, format and print five (5) high-quality booklets. The content will be provided by South African Tourism. The purpose of the booklets is to present structured, professional content in a durable, sustainable and visually appealing printed format suitable for internal and external stakeholder use. 2. Scope of Work The appointed supplier will be responsible for the following: 2.1 Design & Layout Convert content provided in PowerPoint format into a professionally designed print-ready booklet. Ensure correct layout formatting, alignment, typography, margins, and spacing. Apply appropriate print formatting standards (bleed, trim marks, pagination, colour profiles). Ensure high-resolution images suitable for print. Submit print-ready PDFs for approval prior to final production. Implement up to two rounds of revisions (if required). 2.2 Printing Specifications Quantity: 5 booklets Estimated Length: Approximately 80 pages per booklet (give 3 costing: up to 60 pages, up to 70 pages, up to 80 pages) Size: A5 portrait Cover: o Hard spine o Thick cardboard outer cover (minimum 300350gsm recommended) o Full colour printing o Optional matte or gloss lamination (supplier to advise) Inside Pages: o Printed in full colour o Recycled paper (supplier to specify recycled content percentage) o Recommended weight: supplier to advise on best quality option 3. Sustainability Requirements Use environmentally responsible printing processes. Paper must be recycle. Provide confirmation of sustainability credentials and paper specifications. 4. Deliverables The supplier must provide: Final print-ready files (PDF format) Five (2500 500 x 5 different booklets) printed booklets delivered 90 Protea Road, Chislehurston, Sandton Digital version optimised for online sharing Colour proof/sample prior to final print run Mock-up or sample binding before final approval 5. Quality Assurance The supplier will be responsible for: Ensuring accurate pagination and formatting. Checking for formatting inconsistencies (light proofreading for layout purposes only). Ensuring colour consistency and print quality. Ensuring no pixelation or low-resolution imagery. Final quality inspection before delivery. 6. Timeline Please provide: Estimated timeline from receipt of content to delivery. Production schedule breakdown (design, proofing, print, delivery).
