Grinding Machines – Delivery, Installation And Commissioning Of An Agitator Ball Mill With Classifier For The Activation And Grinding Of Mineral Raw Materials. The F.A. Finger Institute For Building Materials Science At The Bauhaus University Weimar Is Planning To Purchase A Continuously Operating Dry Grinding And Classifying System Consisting Of An Agitator Ball Mill (Rwkm) With A Downstream Wind Classifier As Well As The Associated Conveying, Dedusting, Measuring, Control And Safety Devices. The System Should Be Designed For Research And Development Tasks. The System Should Be Designed For The Mechanical Activation Of Mineral Raw Materials, Preferably Clays And Olivine, As Well As For The Fine Grinding Of Mineral Or Comparable Dry Solids. The Classifier Should Have The Task Of Classifying The Product Stream And, If Necessary, Returning Product To The Grinding Circuit, As Well As Separating Certain Grain Fractions For Examination Purposes. The Mill Will Also Be Used To Carry Out Experiments On Agglomerating Fine Powders, Which Will Help Improve The Processing Properties Of The Products. It Must Therefore Be Possible To Switch The Classifier To Dedusting Operation (Or Inverse) As Easily As Possible. The Classifier Must Also Be Able To Be Operated Separately Without A Mill. The System Should Be Suitable For Handling Product Throughputs Of 100 Kg For Research Purposes Up To Several Tons (Per Week) For Industry-Related Research. The Mill Must Be Designed In Such A Way That Wearing Parts Can Be Easily Replaced And Must Be Easy To Clean. The Grinding Chamber Volume Should Be Between 30 And 60 Liters. The Grinding Chamber And All Mechanically Stressed Parts Must Be Made Of Highly Wear-Resistant Steel. The Rwkm And The Relevant Classifier System Must Be Scalable, I.E. Performance Data Must Be Transferable To Larger Industrial Systems. Industrial Plants With Throughputs Of Up To 7 Tons Per Hour Serve As A Benchmark For Upscaling (See Meca-Clay, Schwenk-Zement/Thyssenkrupp Polysius
