The Building Was Built In The Mid-1970S And Consists Of Apartments With Associated Balconies. Leaks Have Been Discovered In The Roof Construction. The Roof Surface Currently Lacks An Overflow Through The Cornice, And Several Of The Existing Roof Hatches Are Sealed. This Has Led To The Collection Of Water On The Roof, Which In Turn Has Led To Leaks. Pending Improvement, Boligbygg Has Established External Scaffolding With A Roof-Over-Roof Solution To Secure The Building Against Further Water Ingress. The Rental Contract For The Scaffolding Must Be Delivered To The General Contractor. However, The Client Will Take Over The Responsibility For Decommissioning At The Completion Of The Project. The Project Includes Removal Of Existing River Gravel On The Roof, Demolition Of Existing Roofing And All Insulation. The Roof Surface Must Then Be Re-Insulated With Approximately 30 Cm Of Insulation, And The Cornices Must Be Raised By Approximately 50 Cm.
