Security Services - Security Services - Ffm Hbf - New Track 25. As Part Of The “Node Frankfurt Central Station – Frankfurt South” Project, Frankfurt Central Station Is To Be Expanded To Include Platform 25. The New Building Includes The Main Station And The Associated Apron And Is Being Built On The North Side Of The Station. The Project Includes The Following Implementation Content: Dismantling Or Adapting The Existing Platform Roof Of Track 24 As Well As The Production Of A New Platform Roof Taking Into Account The Existing Structure, Dismantling The Canopy Adjacent To The Disposal Point, Constructing The New Track, Constructing A New Central Platform Between The Existing Platform 24 And Platform 25, Taking Into Account The Operational And Structural Constraints As Well As The Operational Tasks, Establishing The Structural Issues Below The New Track In The Postal Parcel Chamber And Connected Access Tunnel Taking Into Account The Defined Framework Conditions (E.G. Monument Protection, Parallel Projects), Track Plan Adjustments Due To The Platform Width, New Switch Connection With Connection To The Apron, Adjustment Of The Technical Route Equipment (Overhead Line, Control And Safety Technology, Telecommunications, Eea Systems). The New Construction Of Track 25 Is Part Of An Overall Concept That Is Intended To Improve The Performance Of The Frankfurt Node By Eliminating Crossing And Follow-On Conflicts As Well As Bottlenecks. One Of These Bottlenecks Is The Lack Of Sufficient Platform Capacity At Rush Hour In Frankfurt (M) Hbf Station. By Building An Additional Track, The Overall Quality Is To Be Increased By Increasing Platform Capacity, By Bundling Local Transport On The North Side Of Frankfurt Central Station And The Associated Unbundling Of Traffic Flows, And By Increasing Reliability, Flexibility And Thus Availability Of Transport In The Context Of Subsequent Projects.
