Tenders Are Invited For Renovation Of The Sea Wall At Bloch

The Sea Walls Of The Erft In The Iversheim District Show Significant Damage As A Result Of The Extreme Flood In July 2021 And Are To Be Replaced Above The Top Edge Of The Ground. This List Of Services Includes The Demolition, Securing And Natural Stone Work To Restore The Sea Walls In A Section Of Approx Water Side. The Construction Areas Must Be Cordoned Off By Construction Fences, Whereby A Minimum Passage Width Of 3 M Must Be Ensured For Fire And Rescue Vehicles. The Adjacent Trees, Including Root Areas, Must Be Protected And Must Not Be Driven Over With Construction Equipment. Dewatering At The Base Of The Wall Is Carried Out Using Mobile Systems So That Separation From The Flowing Wave Is Achieved. Residual Water Must Be Pumped Out. A Connection Reinforcement Is Provided To Secure The Upper Wall Body Made Of Greywacke. Horizontal Reinforcing Bars Are Inserted Into The Positioning Joints Of The Masonry Body And Connected To The Anchors Of The Connecting Reinforcement. The Masonry Body Consists Of Greywacke Quarry Stones With A Joint Made Of Trass Mortar. In Order To Consciously Establish Small Plants, All Visible Joints Are Set Back 1 Cm. The Remaining Concrete Covers Are Dismantled. A New Cover Is Not Put On But Replaced With Natural Stone As A Wall Crown Up To The Upper Wall. This Project Is A Measure Funded By The State Of North Rhine-Westphalia And The Federal Republic Of Germany To Repair Damage To Public And Private Infrastructure As Well As For Reconstruction On The Occasion Of The Heavy Rain And Flood Disaster In July 2021 (Funding Guideline (Frl) Reconstruction North Rhine-Westphalia) Of May 27, 2025.
