Expression of Interest for Conducting a Diagnostic Study on Private Sector Engagement in Mobilizing Climate Finance. NATURE OF SERVICES The services to be provided under this contract include: v conducting an in-depth analysis of the countrys macroeconomic situation and the poverty levels of the population; v mapping private sector actors (banks, insurance companies, enterprises, investors, SMEs, green start-ups, etc.) currently involved inor potentially interested inclimate finance, including their primary activities in this field; v analyzing the impact of climate change on private sector activities; v Analyze climate investment opportunities/areas of intervention aligned with the priorities and needs of the countrys *PLAN RELANCE*, its NDC, NAP, and LT-LEDS; v Identify institutional, regulatory, financial, and technical barriers limiting private sector engagement; v Review green financial products/instruments tailored to the needs of the private sector; v Analyze private sector engagement and coordination; v Identify private sector contributionsboth in cash and in-kindtowards climate action; v Conduct a review of public-private partnership mechanisms for climate action; v Conduct a review of financial structuring and engineering models; v Gather best practices and successful experiences at the national, regional, and international levels; v Identify key challenges and levers for private sector engagement in climate finance; v Identify structural barriers to private sector mobilization in climate finance; v Propose concrete recommendations to strengthen private sector mobilization, including incentives, public-private partnerships, and innovative financial instruments. 2. FIRM PROFILE To successfully carry out this assignment, the firm must: - be a legally recognized entity in Burkina Faso; - be in good standing with tax and social security authorities; - specialize in strategic planning, as well as project development and implementation. The firm must have the following profiles within its team: - A Team Leader holding a Masters degree (Bac+5) in Environment, Climate Change, Economics, or an equivalent qualification, with five (05) years of experience in similar studies; - A Legal Specialist holding a Bachelors degree (Bac+4) in Private Law, Environmental Law, or Climate Change Law, or an equivalent qualification, with 10 years of experience in similar studies. The firm must possess sufficient human, material, and financial resources to complete the assignment within the required timeframe. 3. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS This Call for Expressions of Interest is open, on equal terms, to consulting firms specializing in the relevant field of intervention that are duly established and in good standing with the administrative authorities.
