The Purpose Of The Contract Is To Ensure That Patients Are Examined And/Or Investigated Within The Applicable Deadlines In The Health Act At All Times. The Supplier Has The Status Of A Cooperative Hospital. This Means That The Supplier Is Regarded As An Extension Of The Regions Own Capacity If The Region Itself Cannot Meet Applicable Deadlines. The Collaborative Hospital Will Act As A Second Offer When The Department To Which The Patient Is Referred Cannot Meet The Deadlines According To The Extended Free Choice Of Hospital. Patients Covered By The Contract Are Patients Who Have Been Referred To One Of The Regions Departments For Examination Or Investigation, But Who Are Subsequently Re-Visited To One Of The Suppliers Under The Tendered Contract. Patients Covered By The Contract May Be Referred By Their Own Doctor Or Specialist Practice, As Well As Be Referred For An Mri Scan As Part Of An Ongoing Investigation Process At A Public Hospital Department. The Supplier Must Have Carried Out The Mri Scan And Prepared The Description Of The Mri Scan No Later Than 14 Days After The Supplier Received The Referral.
