Lac La Biche County Is Requesting Proposals From Qualified Proponents To Design, Supply, And Install A New Playground For Children Ages Five To 12 Years Old At Mission Park In The Mission Community Of Lac La Biche County, Alberta.The Proposed Playground Will Form Part Of A New Municipal Park Development Intended To Provide Public Access To Lac La Biche Lake And Support Recreational Amenities For Residents And Visitors. The Broader Park Development Will Include Features Such As Trails, Picnic Areas, A Lookout Point, Stairway Access To The Water, And Other Park Amenities That Will Be Constructed Separately. The Playground Contractor Will Be Responsible For The Design And Installation Of All Elements Within The Playground Area.Proponents Are Encouraged To Incorporate Creative And Non-Conventional Playground Equipment That Aligns With A Natural Play Theme Reflecting The Surrounding Ecosystems Of Lake, Forest, Grassland, And Beach. Playground Designs Must Support Children’S Physical, Emotional, Social, And Intellectual Development And Clearly Identify Play Opportunities Appropriate For Children Ages 5 Through 12 Years Old.The Successful Proponent Will Be Responsible For All Aspects Of Playground Construction Including Site Preparation, Equipment Supply And Installation, Installation Of Engineered Wood Fiber Fall Surfacing, Playground Border Installation, Site Restoration, And Completion Of A Third-Party Playground Safety Inspection Prior To Opening The Facility To The Public.The Project Has A Maximum Budget Of $90,000 (Excluding Gst) And Construction Must Be Completed No Later Than September 30, 2026 To Align With Other Park Development Activities.Proposals Must Be Submitted Electronically By 2:00 P.M. Local Time On April 2, 2026.
