Tenders are invited for Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. Deadline: Friday, 27. Mar 2026 Project Purpose The René Moawad Foundation is implementing a child-focused program aiming at improving access to specialized mental health services for vulnerable children, including those exposed to trauma, abuse, neglect, displacement, disability, or developmental disorders. Access to quality education remains limited for children with disabilities and special educational needs, particularly in vulnerable communities between Tripoli and Minnieh-Denniyeh area. Job Description: The Child Psychiatrist will provide specialized psychiatric services and strengthen the integration of mental health care within the RMF multidisciplinary child support system. To provide specialized psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for children and adolescents, while supporting capacity building, safeguarding, and integration of mental health services within community-based and facility-based programs. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents. Diagnose and manage mental health conditions including: o ADHD o Autism Spectrum Disorder o Depression and anxiety disorders o Behavioral and conduct disorders o Trauma and PTSD o Developmental and emotional disorders Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in accordance with national and WHO guidelines. Provide crisis intervention for high-risk cases (self-harm, severe behavioral disturbances). Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with caregivers and multidisciplinary team members. Ensure appropriate referral pathways for complex or emergency cases. Integrate mental health services within child protection, education, and rehabilitation activities. Contribute to development of clinical guidelines, SOPs, and referral systems. Participate in case management meetings and multidisciplinary case reviews. Ensure services align with humanitarian principles and child rights standards. Education: Medical Degree (MD). Specialization in Psychiatry. Subspecialty in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (Fellowship or equivalent). Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Professional Competencies: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in child and adolescent psychiatry. Experience working in NGOs, humanitarian, or community-based settings preferred. Experience working with trauma-affected or vulnerable children is an asset. Strong knowledge of child development and psychopathology. Experience in trauma-informed care. Ability to work in low-resource settings. Cultural sensitivity and child-centered approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to humanitarian principles and child rights. Number of children assessed and treated. Percentage of follow-up compliance. Quality and timeliness of documentation and reports. Number of staff trained and supervision sessions conducted. Improvement in clinical and psychosocial outcomes. Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point). Duration: The implementation of individual sessions in this project is starting March 2026 and will be ending in September 2026. The specialist is expected to deliver all the required services within this period.
