Description: IFC recently launched a project to foster more investments in the rice sector and help crowd-in co-financing from other financial intermediaries, in a way that will encourage the uptake of sustainable, low-emission rice practices and technologies. The project seeks to support change in global, demand-driven value chains as well as domestic rice supply chains. Objective: to create practical and impactful set of resources, including curating existing and developing new resources, for rice sector agribusinesses that are considering supporting their rice supply chains to transition from conventional to sustainable rice. These resources will also serve as knowledge and business development resources to be used by IFC staff.
