The Taunusbahn Route From Friedrichsdorf To Brandoberndorf Is A Single-Track, Non-Electrified Branch Line Approximately 37 Km Long. It Is Owned By The Hochtaunus Transport Association (Vht). The Section From Friedrichsdorf To Usingen Planned For Electrification Is Approx. 18 Km Long And Lies Entirely In The Hochtaunuskreis. It Runs From Friedrichsdorf Via The Köppern, Saalburg, Wehrheim And Neu-Anspach Train Stations As Well As The Hausen Stop To Usingen. Other Components Of The Project Include A Double-Track Expansion Of The Line Over A Length Of Approx. 2 Km, The Conversion Of Usingen Station And The Expansion Of The Stop In Hundstadt Into A Crossing Station. The Necessary Adjustments To The Control And Safety Technology As Well As The Level Crossings Will Also Be Made.
