Work Detail
The City Of The Hague Is Growing. More And More People Are Coming To The Hague To Live, Work And Enjoy Themselves. This Means That More People Are Moving And The City Is Becoming Increasingly Busy. The Hague Is Already The Most Densely Populated City In The Netherlands. To Keep The City Accessible, Liveable And Traffic Safe In The Future, The Municipality, The Rotterdam The Hague Metropolitan Region (Mrdh) And Htm Passenger Transport (Htm) Are Investing In New, Accessible And More Sustainable Trams And The Infrastructure For These Trams And The Surrounding Public Space Is Being Adapted. For This Purpose, The Multi-Year Influx New Tram Hague Region Program (Inthr) Has Been Started In A Collaboration Between Mrdh, Htm And The Municipality Of The Hague. The Commissioning Within The Program Is Carried Out On Behalf Of The Three Parties, With The Municipality Of The Hague Acting As Secretary For The Tender Procedure, Contracting And The Realization Of The Assignment. Within The Program, Htm Acts As A Rail Technical And Transport Advisor To The Municipality On Behalf Of Mrdh. In The Coming Years, The Inthr Program Will Include The Renewal Of The Public Transport Infrastructure Of Current Tram Lines 6 And 12. In These Projects, Among Other Things, The Tracks And Tram Platforms Must Be Adapted For The Influx Of New Tram Equipment. Where The Track Is Being Replaced, It Is Simultaneously Examined Whether Traffic And Cycling Safety In The Street Can Be Improved, Where The Sewerage System Needs To Be Replaced, Where Traffic Control Systems Have Reached The End Of Their Lifespan, Where Maintenance Of The Roads Needs To Take Place And/Or Where The Public Space Can Be Made Greener. In This Way The Municipality Fulfills Its Public Task; Taking Care Of The Public Space In The City. The Clients Of The Inthr Program Are Looking For A Multi-Year Collaboration In Which Contractors, As Collaboration Partners, Can Integrally Carry Out The Work On Public Transport Infrastructure And The Necessary Redesigns Of The Surrounding Public Space. For This Purpose, The Clients Wish To Conclude A Cooperation Agreement For Two Plots. A Collaboration Agreement Is Entered Into With One Contractor Per Plot. The Emphasis Of The Collaboration Agreement(S) Is On Collaboration, Cooperation And Coherence To Realize These Inner-City Public Transport Infrastructure Tasks, Within The Administratively Established Frameworks And With Limited Disruption To The Environment. Objectives The Main Objective Of The Cooperation Agreement Is To Create A Better And Higher Quality Public Transport Infrastructure By, Among Other Things, Adapting Public Spaces And Making The Route Sections Suitable For New Tram Equipment. Additional Objectives Are: 1. Achieving Quality Improvement Of Public Space. At The Same Time As Adjusting The Rail Infrastructure, Interventions Are Being Made In The Public Space; 2. Limiting Inconvenience To The Environment: Activities By The Municipality And Partners Are Combined As Much As Possible To Limit Inconvenience During Implementation; 3. Realizing An Increase In Quality For Accessibility Of The Tram System While Complying With The Applicable Laws And Regulations. The Increase In Quality Is Achieved By Also Improving The Safety And Quality Of The Stops At The Same Time As The Integration Of The Low-Floor Trams.
