Cambridge City Council Has A Mix Of Indoor And Outdoor Sheltered Housing Schemes Spread Across The City, Which Provide Housing And Support To Over 500 Older People. Sheltered Housing, Is Predominantly, For People Aged Over 60 Who Wish To Carry On Living Independently But Who Require Some Support In Order To Do So. Our Vision Is To Maximise Opportunities For Older People To Live Self- Sufficiently By Providing Good Quality Accommodation And To Provide Support In Line With Individuals Needs, Offering Activities And Social Events To Prevent Social Isolation And To Encourage Active Ageing. Cambridge City Council Has A Requirement To Upgrade Its Current Analogue Warden Call Alarm Systems In 11 Of Its Sheltered Housing Schemes Ahead Of The Digital Switchover To Ensure The Can Continued To Provide This Essential Service To Tenants Of Our Schemes.
