Work Detail
Construction Work – Eop Ipa Package No. 4: Interior Work. The University Hospital Aachen Aör (Uka) Is Planning To Build A New Operating Room Extension Building (Eop). This Project Is Intended To Create The Conditions For A Modern, Efficient And Future-Oriented Operating Theater Infrastructure. For This Purpose, 12 Highly Complex Operating Rooms, A New Central Processing Unit For Medical Devices (Aemp) And An Automated Sterile Goods And Material Storage Are To Be Realized In The New Building. The Highly Complex Operating Rooms Are Designed Based On The Most Modern Device-Supported Surgical Methods. These Include Hybrid Operating Rooms With Angiography Systems, Mobile And Stationary Intraoperative Imaging And Robotic Surgical Techniques. The New Building Is Planned Between The Main Building Of The Clinic (Ubft/Pf) And The Supply Building (Ver), Including The Intermediate Structure, As Well As In The Immediate Vicinity Of The Building Currently Being Built For Surgical Intensive Care And The Perinatal Center (Oippnz). The Immediate Proximity Enables A Connection To The Existing Buildings, Which Is Essential From A Business Organizational Point Of View. A Connection Is Currently Planned On Floor -2 To The Ubft/Pf. The Central Operations Department Of The Existing Uka Building Is Located On This Level. The Connection Is Intended To Create A Continuous Blue Area And Synchronize The Current Structures With The New Building. As Part Of The Synchronization, Areas On Floor -2 In The Existing Building Must Be Structurally Adapted. Another Requirement Is The Creation Of A Connection Between The New Building And The Oip-Pnz In The Form Of A Bridge At Level 1 To Enable Direct, Postoperative Patient Transport Between The Cardiac Surgery Patients And The Associated Intensive Care Unit. Furthermore, There Is A Requirement To Implement A Direct Approach To The Building For The Purpose Of Delivery. In Particular, The Requirements Of Monument Protection, Structural Connectivity And The Potential For A Southern Expansion Must Be Taken Into Account. Time Horizon: Commissioning Of Alliance Partner / Signing Of Multi-Party Contract October 2026 Submission Of Hu Construction October 2027 Start Of Construction Conversion Of Existing Building February 2028 Start Of Construction Of Extension Building October 2028 Handover To User Mid-2032 Due To The Complexity Of The Construction Task, The Resulting Susceptibility To Disruption And The Potential For Conflict In The Implementation Phase As Well As The High Time Pressure, Alternative Project Management Models Were Examined By The Aachen University Hospital.
