Work Detail
Landscaping Work For Parks – Landscaping Of The Champ-Joly School Playground And Green Roof. The Champ Joly School Redevelopment Project Is Located To The Southwest Of The School, Between The Facade (English Courtyard) And The Mail 2000. On The East Side The Courtyard Is Bordered By The Espace Vélodrome And To The West By The Café Restaurant Le Ravy. The Current Courtyard Consists Of A Large Retangular Space Made Of Bituminous Coating With A Roof In Its Center Which Overlooks The Entrance To The Building. To The East, A Multisport With A Gathering Area For The Espace Vélodrome Adds A More Defined Use. To Demarcate The Uses Between The 2000 Mall And The Courtyard, A Hornbeam Hedge Lined With A Long Concrete Bench Were Installed And In Front Of The Cover Two Bicycle Drop-Off Areas With Stem Trees (Celtis Australis) Enhance The Layout. The Project Will Preserve The Existing Trees And Integrate Them In Such A Way As To Give The Courtyard A New Green Space With Different Use Areas. The Removal Of The Coating Will Ensure The Installation Of A Rainwater Infiltration Valley To Which Are Added Fun Elements Of Discovery With Surfaces Of Varied Characteristics (Stabilized Plot, Chip Area, Flowered Lawn, Perennial Bed, Living Hedge And Tree Planting). Opposite This Layout, Leaning Against The Existing Wall Of The English Courtyard, A More Dry Layout Creates Meeting And Discussion Areas With Intriguing And Unusual Plantings. Finally, To The West Of The Building, An Epdm Play Area With A Large Rope Play Area Balances The School Program For The Children. In Order To Revalorize The Tree Heritage, Existing Trees Will Be Integrated Into The Project And Significant Work To Refurbish The Planting Pits Will Be Undertaken. Excavated Materials Will Be Carefully Sorted And Revalorized On Site In Order To Avoid Any Unnecessary Export And The Planned Plant Selection Responds To This Orientation. Root Prospecting Areas In Earth-Stone Under The Covering Will Ensure The Volumes Necessary For Planting Large Trees And Thus Considerably Increase The Canopy Of The Courtyard. The Long Concrete Bench Will Also Be Reused On Site. It Will Be Reorganized By Segments And Arranged To Create Sub-Spaces For Games And Social Exchange. A Significant Lifting System Will Be Put In Place To Move These Elements With Their Foundation. The Furniture Elements Are Organized To Create Two Open Areas, Free For Ball Games And To Allow Festive Events To Take Place There. The Surface Materials Used For The Project Maintain A Natural Tone And Will Thus Create A New, More Welcoming And Dynamic Courtyard.
