The Storting Has Adopted An Amendment To The Marine Resources Act From 1 January 2026, Which Gives The Directorate Of Fisheries Authority To Seize And Destroy Unmarked Fishing Gear. On This Occasion, The Norwegian Directorate Of Fisheries Shall Enter Into An Agreement For The Provision Of Services Relating To The Collection, Reception, Storage And Destruction/Recycling Of Seized Unmarked Fishing Gear (Lines, Nets, Lures Etc.), Where The Owner Cannot Be Identified.
