Tenders are invited for First Aid Training 2. Training Details Trainees: an estimated total of around 150 trainees from the 10 target communities. 1. At least 5 people from each community must attend first aid training and at least 60% of the trainees from each community must be females. Duration: Each cohort will undergo a standard 21-hour training (3 full days), to be completed within April 2026. More than one cohort is expected for this training. Venue: Training shall be conducted in the communities themselves or at accessible nearby venues, based on preferences and accessibility. Based on logistics and arrangements with the communities, it might be possible to combine trainees from more than one community in one training cohort. Mobilization: The trainer will coordinate with community focal points (to be provided by MAP) and/or leverage their own networks to ensure participation. Inclusion: The trainer must ensure gender equity, inclusion of persons with disabilities, and representation of youth and elderly where feasible. 3. Curriculum and Training Focus The training must be practical, interactive, and culturally/contextually relevant. Topics to include: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Wound care and bleeding control Burns, fractures, sprains, and dislocations Heatstroke, dehydration, and sun-related emergencies Venomous bites and stings (snakes, scorpions) Blunt trauma and internal injuries Improvised splinting and patient transport techniques Recognition of life-threatening signs: loss of consciousness, respiratory distress, seizures, etc. 4.Training objectives include: Developing lifesaving first response skills Empowering participants to act until EMS or professional help arrives Strengthening community resilience and local emergency preparedness 5. Scope of Work Deliver comprehensive First Aid training, blending theory with hands-on practice. Ensure all participants complete the full 21-hour programme to receive the first aid kits (provided by MAP). Provide interactive training materials, including handouts, visual aids, and context-based scenarios. Facilitate participant-centered learning, including group work, simulations, and Q&A sessions. Conduct pre- and post-assessments to measure knowledge gain and skill acquisition. Distribute and collect participant feedback forms to evaluate training satisfaction and improve delivery. Submit a brief training report summarizing attendance, performance, evaluation results, and any challenges. Identify and recommend one potential focal trainee per community to act as a future First Aid reference person. Complete MAPs online safeguarding training via KayaConnect.org and submit a valid certificate. 6. Trainer Qualifications Certified First Aid Trainer with a valid accreditation (e.g., PRCS, Red Cross, recognized health body) Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering First Aid training in community or humanitarian contexts Experience in low-resource or rural settings, particularly with vulnerable communities Arabic fluency (spoken and written); English is an asset for reporting Strong facilitation, communication, and cultural sensitivity skills 7. Monitoring & Evaluation MAP will apply the following M&E framework: Knowledge gain: Pre/post test scoring.
