This Service Will Provide Assistance To Npws Regional Staff With Extinguishing Fires And With Water Provision. The Successful Tenderer Will Be Expected To Give Priority And Precedence To The Requirements Of The Npws In The Case Of Firefighting. They Will Be Required To Coordinate With Npws Staff And Other Firefighting Bodies As Appropriate In Order To Protect Members Of The Public, Nature And Assets Under The Management Of The Npws. A Bambi Bucket Can Be Provided By The Npws If Required. It Is Expected That, Due To Flight Restrictions, Firefighting Will Be Limited To Daylight Hours Only. Standby Is Required 7 Days A Week. Core Standby Times Are Expected To Cover The Majority Of Daylight Hours, E.G. At Least A Standard 8 Hour Day. Response Time Should Be Within 30 Minutes Of Call Out Max During Core Stand-By Times. (I.E. 30 Minutes From Call-Out To Being In The Air) Response Times Should Be Less Than 120 Minutes Of Call Out In Daylight Hours Outside These Core Stand-By Times. (I.E. 120 Minutes From Call-Out To Being In The Air)
