Expression of Interest for Comprehensive Regional VC Training Program The overall focus of the Project in the Western Balkans and the Caucasus is to promote financial inclusion and deepening by facilitating investments and growth in digital banking, fintech, EmFi and VC/PE financing through policy and infrastructure level reforms. Background: The startup and venture capital ecosystem in Kosovo and the South Caucasus is in a developing phase, with increasing interest from entrepreneurs, investors, and financial sector professionals. To strengthen the investment ecosystem and equip key stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and skills, a Comprehensive Venture Capital Training Program is being launched. This program will provide participants with a deep understanding of venture capital fund management, investment strategies, deal structuring, and portfolio management. Given the specialized nature of this training and the short timeframe for implementation, a sole-source selection is proposed The Objective of the Assignment: The objective of this program is to build sustainable local venture capital ecosystems in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kosovo by developing the investor side of the ecosystem. Specifically, the Academy aims to increase the number and quality of active local investors, strengthen future VC fund managers, and reduce overreliance on foreign capital by combining structured VC training, real deal exposure, investor community building, capital mobilization, and policy engagement into a single, longterm system rather than a oneoff training program.
