Tenders are invited for Construction and Repair Work of Irrigation Channels in Bebnine, Meshmesh, Fneidek and Merkabta. Deadline: Wednesday, 18. Mar 2026 The purpose is to improve agricultural water management and increase access to safe water by repairing and upgrading vital water infrastructure in North Lebanon and Akkar. The Construction/repair work of 6 irrigation channels identified in this project will significantly benefit local farmers and community members by strengthening the sustainability of water resources for the local community. Therefore, this call is seeking contractors to implement efficient construction and repair works for the identified channels (divided in 3 lots) to ensure sustainable irrigation water system and to manage the access to water, within the scope of work and as per the BoQs annexed to this document (Appendix G (1 to 6)). The project will be implemented in Bebnine, Meshmesh and Fneidek Akkar and in Merkabta North Lebanon, as specified in the tender documents. The tender is divided into three separate Lots: Lot 1: Construction and/or repair work for Bebnine Channels Akkar Lot 2: Construction and/or repair work in Meshmesh and Fneidek channels Akkar Lot 3: Construction and/or repair work for Merkabta channel Akkar. 1. Bebnine Channels: In Bebnine, there are 3 irrigation channels: Al Baydar roundabout Channel Machtal Ziraa 1 Channel Machtal Ziraa 2 Channel 2. Meshmesh and Fneidek Channels: In Meshmesh and Fneidek, there are two irrigation channels, El Wali Channel in Meshmesh Masjid Dawha channel in Fneidek. 3. Merkabta Channel: In Merkabta, there is only one irrigation channel, Al Joura Channel. The selected contractor will be responsible for the cost and risks for up to final agreed delivery location. Contractor shall furnish all the necessary materials, tools and equipment, labor, supervision, and other services, for the satisfactory and timely completion of the work in accordance with this Contract. The service will include the use of appropriate machinery, tools, and equipment for the efficient completion of the installation, with all required labor provided by trained personnel. The installation team will work to ensure that all elements are properly aligned, securely fixed, and functioning optimally. The transport of materials and machinery to the site will be arranged as part of the service, ensuring that everything needed for the setup is available on-site when required. The field engineer or an appointed supervisor will oversee the installation process to ensure that it adheres to the agreed-upon technical specifications and standards. Upon completion, the setup will be thoroughly inspected and tested, and any necessary adjustments or calibrations will be made to ensure full functionality. The service will also include the handover of system operation guidelines and maintenance recommendations to the project owner. An as-built documentation must be prepared and submitted upon completion of the installation. - Appendix G (1 to 6): Bills of Quantities (BoQ) [Attached] The Bills of Quantities (BoQ), attached as Appendix G (1 to 6) and the annexed technical specifications and drawings, outlines the detailed breakdown of all required works, including: Quantities, units, and descriptions of work items. The contractor must strictly comply with the BoQs specifications and pricing requirements. - Appendix H: Technical Specification [attached] Technical Specification includes brief description of the Project, Location (coordinates) and Map and detailed requirements for: Materials: Concrete mix, reinforcement steel, joint materials, etc. Construction Processes: Excavation, compaction, formwork, and concrete pouring. Quality Control Procedures: Slump tests, compressive strength tests, and compliance inspections. Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements: Site safety protocols and environmental standards.
