Within The Rocky Mountain House Forest Area, Two (2) Primary Firebases (Rocky And Shunda) Are Strategically Located. These Firebases Provide Pre-Suppression Placement Of Resources (Helitack, Unit, And Firetack Crews) In A Readiness Position To Respond To Initial Wildfire Starts. To Support The Area, The Province Requires Rentals Of Trailers At These Firebases.Dry Single Occupancy Trailers And A Wash Trailer As Per The Standards Outlined In Appendix B.Trailers May Be Requested On An “As-Needed” Basis Based Upon The Needs Of The Province And May Be Utilized At Either Firebase. Upon Request By The Province, All Trailers Must Be On Site And Fully Operational Within 48 Hours Of Notice.Trailers Must Be Compliant With All Applicable Legislation Including The Public Health Act. They Must Also Meet Provincial Standards For Manpower Resources On Pre-Suppression And Suppression Duties. Our Anticipated Needs Are As Follows: Up To 28 Single Occupancy Dry Sleeper Accommodations.One (1) Wash Trailerfirebase Locations:Rocky Firebase Is Located 4Km Northeast Of Rocky Mountain House (52.42929, -114.90693). Shunda Firebase Is Located 62Km West Of Rocky Mountain House Along Highway 11 (52.49075, -115.75672).
