The Recklinghausen District Is Planning To Renovate The Gatehouse Building Of The Former Explosives Factory In Haltern Am See. The Neoclassical Building, Built Around 1916, Was Built To Represent Wasag. It Is Single-Storey With A Converted Attic, Plastered Facades And Brick Pilasters On The Ground Floor. The Mansard Roof Is Covered With Anthracite-Colored Tiles, Partly Slated. Many Original Double-Hung Wooden Windows And Historic Cement Tiles Have Been Preserved. The Building Has Been Empty Since 2018.
