Tenders are invited for Trainer for Mouneh - Akkar Background This activity is part of the joint vocational empowerment initiative between Nusaned and CBM, targeting vulnerable individuals in Halba. The training focuses on traditional Mouneh (local food preservation) techniques to train, empower, and include people with disabilities, strengthen local food processing capacity, and enhance community resilience. The project aims to improve food security and provide income-generating opportunities, particularly for women and people with disabilities. Objectives The training aims to: · Equip 15 participants with practical skills in traditional food processing and preservation (Mouneh). Strengthen participants knowledge in food safety, hygiene standards, and packaging/labelling. Foster women and people with disabilities economic inclusion through capacity-building and income generation. Enhance household food security and promote sustainable livelihoods. Key Challenges and Considerations · Cultural or social constraints: The activity will be of different nationalities, which may pose challenges due to cultural differences and differing levels of experience or expectations. Gender norms and household responsibilities: Women participants may face constraints due to family obligations, limiting their time or ability to attend training sessions. Training Methodology Structure: One training cycle, one Group with 15 women and people with disabilities. Duration: 37 training days, conducted over 5 sessions per week, including 20 days of training and 17 days of production. From 24/3/2026 till 15/5/2026 · Delivery: Practical, hands-on sessions focusing on: Mouneh preparation and traditional preservation techniques Hygiene, food safety, and labeling practices Packaging and storage standards Supervision and Tools: This training will be led by an experienced trainer and monitored by a dedicated supervisor. Standardized tools, such as attendance sheets, weekly plans, and monitoring forms, will be used. Inclusion of persons with disabilities will be ensured through accessible training design and facilitation. Required Expertise Trainers and supervisors must demonstrate the following qualifications: · Proven experience in Mouneh production and local food processing. The trainer should help with production, materials and quantities. Knowledge of food hygiene standards and best practices. Ability to deliver participatory and inclusive training, with attention to adult learning methods. The trainer must have demonstrated experience working with people with disabilities, taking into consideration inclusive communication methods, appropriate attitudes, and disability-sensitive facilitation approaches. The trainer should be able to identify the need for reasonable accommodation for participants. Strong coordination and time management skills, with full availability during the training period. Monitoring and Reporting Requirements Weekly Progress Reports prepared by the supervisor, including participant engagement, products prepared, and challenges encountered. Daily Attendance Records maintained using Nusaneds official templates. Trainer Documentation of session content, methods used, and participant feedback. Final Training Report to be submitted at the end of the cycle summarizing: Achievements and participant outcomes Lessons learned Recommendations for improvement All reporting must comply with deadlines set by Nusaned. Evaluation of the process of the project output and services provided through satisfaction assessment and/ or focus group discussions.
