Tenders are invited for Agricultural Engineer Consultant to Provide Technical Support, Capacity Building and Advisory Services to Farmers under its Agricultural Programming. Deadline: Friday, 13. Mar 2026 Scope of Work The Agricultural Engineer Consultant will be responsible for: Conducting pre and post technical assessments for 12 selected farmers in the Bekaa region. Supporting the establishment, supervision and management of a demonstration plot (solar powered irrigation system, smart Fertigation, smart irrigation, climate-smart practices, Integrated pest management. Delivering 5 structured capacity-building sessions to 12 selected farmers: Soil management techniques Smart Irrigation management (Water collection, Green House smart irrigation, etc.) Integrated pest management Harvest and post-harvest techniques Farming as business Monitor and assist on the delivery of four capacity building sessions conducted by the key farmer to 20 additional farmers · Coaching and one-on-one mentoring for the 12 selected farmers following the five capacity-building sessions mentioned above, including an individual follow-up visit for each farmer after every session conducted at the demo plot. · Supervising the installation of the required tools and equipment for the 11 selected farmers, based on the needs assessment prepared by the Agricultural Engineer Consultant, and provide support for all related agricultural procurement requests, including equipment and tools. Supporting data collection for productivity and cost-efficiency monitoring. Contributing to midline and endline technical reporting. Duration of Assignment March 2026 January 2027 (Exact timeline and deliverables will be defined in the contract.) Deliverables Pre- and post-assessment visits and reports. Training documentation, including materials, pre- and post-tests, evaluations, attendance records, photos, and capacity-building reports. Coaching and mentoring reports. Submission of the final technical evaluation reports. Management of the demo plot, including the procurement of smart tools and the development and implementation of monitoring sheets to track productivity and cost efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in agricultural technical advisory. Proven experience in: Climate-smart agriculture Smart Irrigation and fertilization techniques Agriculture waste management Organic and sustainable farming techniques Farmer capacity building Procurement procedures Vegetable (greenhouse and open field) and fruit trees production techniques Integrated pest management Harvest and post harvest Business for farmers and record keeping Experience working with NGOs and donor-funded projects is an asset. Strong reporting, communication and documentation skills. Resident in the Bekaa area is a must. Motorized with a valid driving license. English and Arabic language is a must, any additional language is an asset.
