Tenders are invited for MSMEs Trainer - Akkar. Deadline: Friday, 13. Mar 2026 Background This activity is part of a joint vocational empowerment initiative between Nusaned and CBM to support micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) owned by vulnerable individuals in Akkar area. This project output aims to strengthen the economic empowerment of women and persons with disabilities by enhancing MSME capacity, productivity, sustainability, and growth. Through practical guidance, business planning support, and mentorship, the initiative will enable beneficiaries to make informed business decisions, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the economic development of their communities. Objectives The MSME support program aims to: Equip participants: A total of 18 participants from 6 MSMEs (3 participants per MSME) will receive business support through a 5-day program per business, resulting in a total of 30 training sessions. Provide technical assistance: Support MSMEs in business development, financial management, and inclusive employment practices. Business support output: Each MSME will finalize one BOQ (Bill of Quantities) detailing the items to be purchased for the business. Foster economic inclusion: Strengthen the participation of women and persons with disabilities in income-generating activities. Promote sustainable livelihoods: Enhance MSME capacity to ensure long-term business sustainability and growth. Empower participants: Enable beneficiaries to take ownership of their enterprises, make informed decisions, and contribute to local economic development. Strengthen skills and confidence: Promote leadership, problem-solving, and self-confidence to reinforce participants role as active contributors to their communities. Key Challenges and Considerations Skills and knowledge gaps: Some participants may require additional support in financial management, marketing, or operational planning to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of their businesses. Arabic Language is to be used in the sessions to ensure participation and receiving information for all participants. External challenges: Economic instability, local competition, or community perceptions may affect MSME growth, productivity, and long-term sustainability. These challenges must be addressed by employing inclusive, hands-on teaching methods and creative ideas suitable for all experience levels. Training Methodology Structure: 6 MSMEs, with a total of 18 women and persons with disabilities (6 groups, 3 participants per group/business). Duration: 30 training sessions in total, delivered over 5 consecutive days per week for each group/business, from 18 May 2026 to 5 June 2026. Training Schedule: 18/05/2026 22/05/2026: Groups 1 and 2 25/05/2026 29/05/2026: Groups 3 and 4 01/06/2026 05/06/2026: Groups 5 and 6 · Delivery: Practical, hands-on training and coaching activities, including: Tailored mentorship: Each MSME will receive individualized guidance to address specific business challenges and opportunities for each business. Practical business planning sessions: Facilitators will provide step-by-step support in creating actionable business plans. Interactive workshops: Sessions will combine theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, group discussions, and peer learning to enhance understanding and skill application. Continuous monitoring and follow-up: The program will provide ongoing support to ensure the effective use of the allocated $3,000 budget and to track progress toward business objectives. Empowerment-focused facilitation: Participants will be encouraged to take leadership of their enterprises, make decisions, and develop confidence in managing their businesses independently. Supervision and Tools: This training must be led by an experienced trainer and monitored by a dedicated supervisor. Standardized tools, such as attendance sheets, weekly plans, and monitoring forms, must be used. Templates and worksheets for budgeting, business planning, and market analysis. Inclusion of people with disabilities through accessible training design and facilitation. Monitoring tools to track progress, expenditures, and business outcomes. Required Expertise Trainers and supervisors must demonstrate the following qualifications: Background in delivering Business Plan training, strong knowledge of business planning, financial management, marketing, and operational improvement for small businesses. Experience in Facilitating participatory training, workshops, and mentorship sessions for adult learners. Skilled in adult learning methodologies and interactive, participatory training techniques. Problem-solving and adaptability: Capacity to provide practical solutions and adapt guidance to the unique needs and context of each MSME. Coordination with Nusaneds team to ensure session quality and documentation compliance. The trainer is expected to demonstrate flexibility regarding the training schedule, including dates and timing, and be able to adjust and accommodate any changes that may arise during the planning or implementation of the training sessions. The selected trainer should work collaboratively with the organizing team to ensure smooth adaptation to schedule modifications without affecting the quality or continuity of the training. 1. The trainer should be able to prepare a detailed list of all necessary items and materials needed. The trainer must have demonstrated experience working with people with disabilities, taking into consideration inclusive communication methods, appropriate attitudes, and disability-sensitive facilitation approaches. The trainer should be able to identify the need for reasonable accommodation for participants. Monitoring and Reporting Requirements Weekly Progress Reports prepared by the supervisor, including participant engagement, success stories, lessons learned and challenges encountered. Daily Attendance Records maintained using Nusaneds official templates. Final Training Report to be submitted at the end of the cycle summarizing: Achievements and participant outcomes Lessons learned Recommendations for improvement All reporting must comply with the deadlines set by Nusaned. Evaluation of the process of the project output and services provided through satisfaction assessment and/ or focus group discussions.
