Tenders are invited for Technical Product Development Expert Act Smart Innovation Hub Context & Background Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon. Through the Clyntech Accelerator Program, startups receive support to develop their Minimum Viable Product, test it with early adopters, and build their capacity to establish their business from marketing, financial, management and operational levels. The Program aims to contribute to job creation and sustainable economic development while advancing the Lebanese entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Clyntech Accelerator Programs mission is to nurture and grow proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics: An innovation with scientific or technological focus in the Cleantech sector. The possibility to scale beyond the local market The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally Scope of work The Accelerator Program seeks a technical expert to deliver up to 4 one-on-one clinics on product development for one of the startups to ensure they have an MVP or product ready for the market by the end of the acceleration phase. The sessions will be covering the following: A. System Assessment & Technical Review Review the current hardware and software design. Assess system gaps, risks, and limitations. Evaluate compliance with wireless communication standards and local regulatory requirements. B. RF & Wireless Engineering Support Guide the team on RF propagation, signal processing, and spectrum behavior. Provide technical direction on the use of licensed vs. unlicensed bands. Advise on antenna selection, power levels, and range optimization. Support the team in interpreting RF measurements and field test results. C. Tools & Measurement Guidance Guide the team on using RF measurement equipment and spectrum analyzers. Support in designing measurement and testing protocols. Assist in analyzing interference patterns, direction finding, and detection methods. D. Communication Protocols & Network Optimization Advise on wireless communication protocols and best practices. Support the team in network performance optimization (load balancing, radio resource management, decision cycles, etc.). Help improve system reliability, connectivity, and overall performance. E. AI for Dynamic Optimization Provide technical recommendations on integrating AI for decision-making processes. Guide the team in designing AI-driven optimization loops for adaptive system behavior. Advise the team to apply AI/ML techniques in wireless systems, signal optimization, or embedded environments. F. Product Development Roadmap Help the team define clear technical milestones and validation steps. Provide documentation, recommendations, and next steps to ensure continued progress after the consultancy. Expected Deliverables Up to four one-on-one sessions (45 mins each) for one startup to be delivered (frequency to be agreed with the accelerator team). Feedback on the progress of the startup after each clinic. Protocols, methodologies, and tools for testing, validation, and any other field measurements. Final report on the progress of the startup, including recommendations. Qualifications Experience working with early-stage startups Demonstrated expertise and practical experience as a Radio Frequency (RF) or Wireless Communications Engineer, particularly within the context of Cleantech projects. Proven track record of providing tailored guidance to startup founders or entrepreneurs Familiarity with the startup ecosystem and understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Cleantech startups. Strong communication skills and ability to simplify technical concepts and ability to provide hands-on, practical guidance.
