Wirral Council Are Seeking To Commission A Short Break Service That Is Able To Provide Personal Care And Support For People With Learning Disabilities And/Or Autism And Physical Disabilities In Wirral. Short Breaks Provide Short Term, Temporary Care For People Who Are Normally Cared For In Their Own Home By A Family Member Or Friend Who Is Not Paid For Their Caring Tasks. Short Breaks Are Beneficial To Both Service Users And Carers As It Enables The Carer To Have A Break From Their Caring Responsibilities And Can Also Enable The Service User To Have A Break Without The Carer. The Aim Of Short Breaks Is To Enable Personalised, Quality, Informal Care Arrangements To Be Sustained; The Provision Of This Support Also Supports Carers To Continue With Their Caring Role And Helps To Keep People At Home.
