Tenders For The By-Mac Campground Upgrade” Will Be Received By Wsp Smithers Office On Behalf Of The District Of Houston At 3772 Fourth Avenue, Smithers Bc Up To 2:00 P.M. March 25Th , 2026. The General Scope Of Work For This Contract Is The Upgrading Of The Houston By-Mac Campground Amenities And Lots. This Work Includes Adding A Potable Water Tank With Pump And Level Sensors, Septic Field, Washcar, Day Use Area, Walking Path, New Campground Lots, Gravel Roads, Electrical Panel, Underground Electrical Cables, Water Pipes, Water Stations And Site Gate. The Work Will Also Include Widening The Existing Road, Upgrading Existing Lots, And Upgrading Campsite Amenities (I.E., Picnic Table, Pit Toilet, Fire Pit, Signs). Site And Boat Launch Will Need To Stay Accessible As Campers Will Be Onsite During Construction. Some Sub-Contractors Have Been Pre-Approved And/Or Pre-Selected An Optional Pre-Tender Site Meeting Will Be Held On March 11Th , 2026, At 11 Am At The District Of Houston’S By-Mac Campground, Bc. The Meeting Is Non-Mandatory, But All Interested Contractors Are Encouraged To Attend To Become Familiar With The Project Requirements And Site Conditions. Notification Of Attendance Is Required.
