Tenders are invited for Organisation of an EU Values Football Tournament The activity will mark Europe Day and serve as a public-facing event, promoting values commonly associated with the European Union, including peace, unity, diversity, inclusion, fair play, and teamwork (including Team Europe). The tournament would ideally bring together a mix of participants, potentially including diplomats, womens teams, youth groups, civil society representatives, and other relevant Tanzanian stakeholders. The objective is to create a visible, inclusive, and engaging event that highlights EU values while fostering dialogue, participation and community spirit. Teams should be able to participate as long as possible - it is more about participation than winning. Scope of Work The selected contractor will be responsible for the end-to-end organisation and delivery of the event, including the following components: 1) Event Concept and Design Develop the overall concept, structure, and format of the tournament. Propose the number and type of participating teams, ensuring diversity and inclusivity. Design a methodology that reflects the values of teamwork, unity, diversity and fair play. Coordinate closely with the EU Delegation on the final concept and participants selection. 2) Event Logistics and Implementation Secure a suitable football pitch and all necessary permissions. Provide all required equipment, including kits, balls, bibs, referees, and match officials. Coordinate participating teams and manage match scheduling. Handle on-site facilitation, event management, and operational support. Cover any necessary transport, refreshments, or other logistical costs required for smooth event delivery. 3) Media and Communications Develop a simple branding concept for the tournament, aligned with EU visual identity. Produce visual materials (e.g., banners, backdrops, digital graphics). Implement a media outreach plan before, during, and after the event, targeting print, broadcast, and digital platforms. Provide professional photography and videography during the tournament. Deliver final edited photo and video materials to the EU Delegation for future use. Deliverables The selected contractor will be expected to provide: A detailed event concept and implementation plan. Full logistical execution of the tournament. Media and communications outputs, including visual materials. A final package of high-quality photos and videos. A brief post-event report summarising: Participation (number and profile of teams and attendees) Key activities and outcomes Media coverage and online reach Lessons learned and recommendations Eligibility This call is open to: Event management companies Sports organisations Media or communications agencies Consortia with relevant experience Applicants must demonstrate: Proven experience in event organisation, preferably sports or youth-focused events. Capacity to manage logistics and communications. Ability to deliver the activity within the proposed timeline and budget. Budget The maximum available budget for this activity is EUR 7,000 (all costs included).
