Expression of Interest for AI solutions for SMEs Country Advisory and Economics Department of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group (WBG), aims to support Croatian Ministry of Economy (MINGO) in their efforts to create less burdened, incentivized and more competitive business environment, as recommended in the European Commissions regular annual assessment. As part of the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (NPRR), Croatian authorities have defined comprehensive reform package that will trigger the needed growth, including measures to support managerial capabilities within SMEs. The project aims to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of Croatian enterprises by promoting the adoption of modern business practices. The project will be implemented in two phases. Phase I, entitled SkillUp Bootcamp, is a fiveweek training program designed to provide small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs) with practical skills and knowledge. Week one focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence solutions for SMEs. Week two is dedicated to leadership skills development with a 2-day offsite. Weeks three and four provide sectorspecific training tailored to the industries in which participating SMEs operate. Week five addresses sustainability, with masterclasses covering governance, environmental and social considerations, marketing strategies, and financing options. Phase II, known as the SkillUp Club, is an exclusive, invitationonly initiative for SMEs that participated in Phase I, identified as having the greatest growth potential. This phase offers members access to advanced resources, networking opportunities, and targeted capacitybuilding activities. For the current calendar year, the project will implement the following activities. (1) Under Phase I, three cohorts will be organized: two cohorts will participate in the full fiveweek SkillUp Bootcamp program, while one cohort will take part in the Mini SkillUp program, which consists solely of the twoday offsite training. (2) Under Phase II, the project will deliver monthly masterclasses on a range of topics, tailored to the needs of CEOs in the SkillUp Club. In addition, participating companies will have access to individualized consulting support. Each company will receive a credit equivalent to EUR 12,000 to be used for services provided by various consulting firms, including those specializing in Artificial Intelligence which is the focus of these TORs. IFC intends to engage a consulting firm (hereinafter referred to as the Consultant) to support the IFC project team in equipping SME CEOs with a solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, and in providing tailored guidance on selecting and implementing the most appropriate solutions for their respective businesses.
