Tenders are invited for Life Skills Trainer for Womens Empowerment. Applications should be sent to [email protected] by March 2, 2026. 1. Background Women Now for Development Lebanon (WND) is a feminist, women-led NGO dedicated to deepening and strengthening womens role in refugee and host communities by enhancing their political, social, and economic participation. WND is part of a consortium working on an RDPP-funded empowerment project aimed at enhancing the agency and autonomy of women in Lebanon. This project component focuses on equipping women participants with essential life skills to boost their confidence, knowledge, and ability to manage their lives and financial resources effectively. The life skills sessions will be delivered using WNDs internally developed curriculum and are held in tandem with a larger curriculum that focuses on challenging and changing social norms with regards to gender equality. 2. Objective of the Assignment The primary objective of this assignment is to deliver structured life skills training to targeted women participants using WNDs internally developed curriculum. The training aims to empower participants by enhancing their ability to make informed choices, manage household finances, improve communication and conflict resolution skills, and assert greater control over their lives and financial resources. 3. Scope of Work The Life Skills Trainer will be responsible for: Delivering life skills training using WNDs internally developed curriculum and training materials. Conducting 2 cycles of training over the project duration (ending in December 2026), with 7 sessions per cycle and two groups of 15 - 20 women in Chtaura and Majdal Anjar Centers Preparing session plans based on the provided curriculum to ensure contextual relevance and participant engagement. Adapting facilitation methods to respond to the needs, literacy levels, and learning pace of participants while maintaining fidelity to the curriculum. Providing practical tools and exercises included in the curriculum that participants can apply beyond the project timeframe. Assessing participants progress and engagement using monitoring tools provided by WND. Coordinating closely with WND staff members to ensure alignment with the overall empowerment project goals. Preparing a final report summarizing training implementation, participant engagement, key outcomes, and recommendations. 4. Key Training Areas The trainer will deliver sessions covering the following key areas as outlined in the internal curriculum: Financial Literacy: Understanding and managing personal and household finances, budgeting, and saving. Communication Skills / Conflict Resolution: Enhancing effective communication within the family and in financial decision-making contexts. Decision-Making: Building confidence in making informed decisions that affect participants lives and financial resources. Independence and Agency: Fostering a sense of independence, confidence, and control over personal and financial matters. 5. Methodology The trainer is expected to: Apply a participatory and interactive training approach in line with WNDs methodology. Facilitate discussions using real-life scenarios and examples that resonate with the womens daily experiences. Ensure safe, inclusive, and supportive learning spaces. Maintain alignment with the structure, objectives, and content of the provided curriculum while adapting facilitation techniques as needed. 6. Deliverables Training Delivery: Delivery of 7 life skills sessions per cycle to the selected groups of women participants in the Bekaa area. Session Plans: Contextualized session plans prepared prior to each cycle based on the provided curriculum. Progress Reports: Regular brief reports on training progress, attendance, challenges, and participant engagement. Final Report: A comprehensive report detailing implementation, outcomes, participant feedback, challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations. 7. Timeline The trainer will be engaged for the duration of the project (1 year). Proposed timeline: Cycle 4 Training Delivery: Q2 2026 Specific date to be confirmed. Cycle 5 Training Delivery: Q4 2026 Specific date to be confirmed. Final Report Submission: December 2026 Specific date to be confirmed. 8. Qualifications and Experience The ideal candidate should have: A background in education, social work, psychology, or a related field. Proven experience in delivering life skills training, particularly for women in similar socio-economic contexts. Strong facilitation skills and experience working with participatory methodologies. Strong understanding of gender issues and womens empowerment. Excellent communication and group management skills. Ability to adapt facilitation approaches to diverse learning needs. Ability to travel to Bekaa, specifically Chtaura and/or Majdal Anjar.
