Quotation are invited for In-Kind Asset Transfer The Global Initiative for Resilience and Development (GIRD) is a national, woman-led non-profit organization committed to strengthening community resilience, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and advancing inclusive development across Somalia. GIRD works in partnership with local communities, government institutions, and international donors to design and implement programs in economic empowerment, social cohesion, governance, education, and humanitarian response. GIRD maintains a strong commitment to accountability, transparency, and locally driven solutions. The organization applies a human rights-based and gender-transformative approach that promotes civic participation, protection of vulnerable groups, and inclusive governance, while supporting women, youth, and marginalized communities to exercise their rights and influence decision-making processes. As part of its institutional strengthening strategy, GIRD intends to implement a robust Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to integrate and automate its core business functions. Purpose of this RFP Under the Baidoa Socio-Economic, Employability & Entrepreneurship Strengthening (BSEES) Project, funded by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), GIRD is implementing a socio-economic recovery and livelihoods intervention in Baidoa, Southwest State of Somalia. The BSEES Project addresses high levels of unemployment, limited access to market-relevant skills, and weak enterprise development systems affecting vulnerable youth, women, internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, persons with disabilities, and host community members. Scope of Work The objective of this RFQ is to solicit quotations from eligible and qualified suppliers for the supply and delivery of tools, equipment, and startup inputs required for the in-kind asset transfer component of the project. The in-kind asset transfer aims to: · Support beneficiaries who completed vocational and entrepreneurship training. · Enable beneficiaries to establish or expand income-generating activities. · Reduce financial barriers to self-employment. · Enhance productivity and promote sustainable livelihoods. · Strengthen household economic resilience and market participation. Scope of Supply The selected supplier(s) will be required to: · Supply and deliver vocational tools and equipment aligned with trades such as: o Tailoring o Carpentry o Welding o Electrical installation o Hairdressing and beauty o Mechanics o Small retail and food processing businesses · Ensure all items are: o New, unused, and of good quality o Appropriate for professional use o Durable and compliant with market standards · Deliver goods to Baidoa within the specified timeframe. · Provide warranties where applicable.
