B.Landslide Investigation, Landslide Risk Analysis – Consulting Services Are Commonly Required Regarding The Occurrence Of A Landslide (Including Debris Flows) Or Occurrence Of A Landslide. These Studies Would Involve Characterization Of The Landslide/Possible Landslide, Identifying Factors Contributing To Its Occurrence/Possible Occurrence, Local And Regional Drainage Conditions, Analysis Of Climatic Conditions, And Risk To Downslope Resources. For Landslide Risk Analysis, The Consultant Must Have A Demonstrated Sound Understanding Of “Partial Risk” And “Specific Risk”. An Estimate Of Magnitude, Frequency And Run Out Are Also Often Required, Such That The Application Of Modelling Software Is An Asset.C.Terrain Stability Assessment – General Terrain Stability Assessment (Tsa) Services Will Be Required For Planning Forest Operations Throughout The Coast Region. Generally, This Work Will Consist Of: Describing The Terrain In The Development Area; Assessing The Sensitivity Of The Terrain Related To The Proposed Development; Assessing The Impact Of The Proposed Development, Including “Partial Risk” Assessment Involving The Estimation Of Frequency, Size And Run-Out Of A Potential Landslide; And Provision Of Recommendations To Minimize The Likelihood Of Landslides And Soil Erosion Following Harvesting, Road Construction, Road Use Or Deactivation.D.Emergency Response – Consulting Services Regarding Emergency Response To The Above Services Are Infrequently Required. In Such Instances, The Consultant Is Often Asked When Evacuation Is Required And When Public Occupancy May Resume. Interim And Long-Term Monitoring Measures Are Generally Required.
