setting Up A Tax And Quota System For Salmon Lice Emissions . Description In The Spring Of 2025, The Government Presented Meld. St. 24 (2024-2025) Aquaculture Of The Future. Central To The Report Was The Proposal To Change How The Aquaculture Industry Is Regulated, From Regulating How Much An Actor Can Produce, To Regulating The Impact Of Production On The Environment And Fish Welfare More Directly. In Chapter 9 Of The Report, Two Different Options For How To Regulate Salmon Lice Emissions Are Discussed. One Option Is To Introduce A System Of Tradable Quotas. The Other Option Is To Introduce A Tax On Lice Emissions. The Ministry Now Wants An Investigation Into How A Quota System With Negotiable Emission Quotas For Salmon Lice Emissions And, Alternatively, How A Fee System For Salmon Lice Emissions Can Be Set Up. For A Detailed Description Of The Delivery, See Appendix 1 To The Agreement. Final Delivery Deadline For The Agreement Is 23 July 2026 Estimated Value For The Acquisition Is From Nok 1,000,000 Excl. Vat To Nok 1,299,000 Excl. Vat The Estimate Is Not Binding On The Client.
