The City Of Helsinkis Construction Service Company Stara (Later Also Stara Or Procurement Unit) Tenders For Regional Stormwater System Maintenance Work, Works To Be Ordered Separately, And Alarm-Related Maintenance Work For Stormwater Systems. The Procurement Includes The Southern, Western And Central Contract Areas Of The City Of Helsinki. The End Result Of The Maintenance Services Is An Opened Strainer Or Pit Well, From Which Blockages Have Been Removed. The Most Important Maintenance Procedure For Wells Is Emptying The Sump Or Well Of Sand And Other Debris. Stormwater Wells Are Checked, Emptied And Cleaned Regionally In The Spring After Sandblasting Has Been Removed And At Other Times If Necessary, E.G. When The Wells Sludge Bed Is Full, When The Pipelines Become Too Clogged, Or When The Operation Of The Pumps Is Compromised. A Record Must Be Kept Of The Emptying Of The Wells, And The Checked Well Must Be Marked On The Ground With A Small Paint Marking To Be Agreed Separately With The Customer. In Connection With The Emptying, The Groove And Grate Of The Manhole Cover Frame Are Also Cleaned. Special Attention Is Paid To The Functionality Of The Underpass Drainage System. The Work Uses Suitable Equipment And Manual Methods. In Addition To The Regional Cleaning Program, Approximately 500 Wells Are Cleaned Annually As An Extra Cleaning Session As A Non-Urgent Job. In This Case, The Cleaning Is Carried Out Within Five (5) Working Days Of The Order During Normal Working Hours On A Weekday, And It Is Not An Emergency Work. Emergency Maintenance Services Include Work That Is Ordered Separately From The Service Provider As Additional Work, Which Is Described In The Request For Quotation And Whose Execution Must Begin Immediately Upon Ordering. The Contract Is Valid From 15 April 2026 To 15 April 2027. The Contract Includes Two (2) One (1) Year Option Periods For The Years 2028 And 2029. The Procurement Unit Will Later Decide On The Use Of The Option Periods Separately. The Provider Must Also Offer Options. The Procurement Unit Does Not Commit To Specific Procurement Quantities, But The Service Provider Produces The Service According To The Needs Of The Procurement Unit.
