Tenders are invited for Mid-term Evaluation of the SESA UMWUMBATI WACU Program in Burundi The Program Aims to Stimulate the Agricultural Sector by Promoting Entrepreneurship in the Cassava, Vegetable, and Poultry Value Chains. Production, Processing, and Marketing Capacity: By Strengthening the Capacities for Production, Processing, and Marketing in Selected Value Chains, the Project Aims to Address Current Challenges. This will be Achieved by Reinforcing Linkages between the Different Actors and Promoting a Circular Green Economy, While Encouraging Climate-Resilient Farming Practices. Entrepreneur Training and Support: Training and Supporting Entrepreneurs will Strengthen the Technical and Organizational Capacities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (Msmes) in the Intervention Zone (Iz) and Enhance Their Access to Production Resources, with Particular Attention to Women and Youth. Subsidies and Access to Finance: Grants and Improved Access to Financing for Supported Entrepreneurs will Diversify Household Economic Resources and Meet the Local Financial Needs, Also Contributing to Increased Employment through Agricultural Entrepreneurship. Promotion of Nutritional Best Practices: This Cross-Cutting Element Ensures Both Food and Nutritional Security in the Iz and Creates Sustainable Market Opportunities for Products from the Promoted Value Chains.
