Track Construction Works – Jena, Reconstruction Of The Knebelstraße Track Triangle And The Paradiesbahnhof Ost Stop. The Overall Scope Of The Construction Project Includes The Double-Track Reconstruction Of The Tracks, Starting From The Paradiesbrücke Southern Abutment, Via The Paradiesbahnhof Ost Tram Stop, The Knebelstrasse/Volksbad Track Triangle, Up To The Connection To The Switch Tips Of The Löbdergraben/Holzmarkt Track Triangle. A Thorough Renovation Of The Tram Tracks Is Planned In Conjunction With The Barrier-Free Conversion Of The Stops. The Route Of The Track Axes Will Be Optimized In Terms Of Its Routing With Regard To The New Vehicles From Jenaer Nahverkehr Gmbh. The Planning Includes All Basic, Design And Execution Aspects Required For The Reconstruction Of The Track Systems. This Includes Carrying Out A Design Survey In Preparation For The Planning Of Engineering Structures And Traffic Systems. In Addition, Subsoil Investigations Were Carried Out In Order To Determine The Load-Bearing Capacity Of The Existing Track Systems And To Be Able To Evaluate Them Structurally. To Ensure The Technical Boundary Conditions, All Existing Cables, Pipes And Wastewater Systems In The Construction Area Were Recorded And Displayed. Furthermore, The Inventory Of The Existing Collecting Duct/Collector Was Recorded, Its Load-Bearing Capacity Was Checked And, Based On This, The Necessary Measures To Increase The Load-Bearing Capacity Were Planned. An Essential Part Of The Planning Is The Reconstruction Of The Tracks As A Slab Track. This Takes Place In The Existing Structure In Terms Of Location And Height And Is Based On The Defined Sections 1 To 6 According To The Task (Services To Be Carried Out). The Existing Detailed Plans For The “Paradiesbahnhof West” And “Paradiesbahnhof East” Stops Will Be Fully Taken Into Account. In Addition, The Planning Includes The Dismantling, Securing And Later Reorganization Of The Existing Electrical Systems Into The Reconstructed Track Systems. The Same Applies To The Existing Rail Lubrication System, Whose Dismantling And Reorganization Was Planned. In Addition, Another Rail Lubrication System Will Be Integrated Into The New Track Structure. Another Central Planning Component Is The Development Of A Traffic Management Plan For Tram Operations During Construction, Including Coordination With The Operators Operations. If Necessary, This Also Includes The Classification And Routing Of Construction Switches Or Track Changes. In Addition, A Traffic Management And Diversion Concept For Private Transport And Tram Traffic Was Developed, Which Was Coordinated In Close Cooperation With The Responsible Transport Authority.
