Energie Und Wasser Potsdam Gmbh (Ewp) Intends To Build An Energy Center On The Premises Of The Hkw Süd Site In Potsdam, In Which Two Identical Deep Geothermal Heat Pumps, Each With A Useful Heating Output Of Approx. 7.5 Mw, Will Be Thermally Installed To Generate District Heating. Optionally, Another River Water Heat Pump With A Thermal Output Of Approx. 3 Mw Should Be Installed. In Addition, A Deep Geothermal Heat Pump With A Thermal Output Of Around Five Mw Should Be Able To Be Installed As An Option At The Gartenstrasse Location. Each High-Temperature Heat Pump System Must Be Able To Feed Into The District Heating Network Independently Of The Operation Of The Other High-Temperature Heat Pump Systems. All High-Temperature Heat Pump Systems, As Well As The Subsequent Process Engineering Systems, Are Installed In The Building Called The Energy Center (T0una). The Individual Heat Pump Systems Are Spatially Separated.
