Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services for Design Review, Preparation of Tender Document and Supervision of Water Supply Last Mile Connectivity Projects in Tharaka Nithi and Kirinyaga Counties The objective of this consultancy is to engage a consulting firm to undertake Design Review, Preparation of the Tender Documents, RAP and Supervision of construction works for: Construction of Water Supply Last Mile Connectivity Projects in Tharaka Nithi and Kirinyaga Counties. The Scope of works entails 3 project components; Cluster 1 - Kerugova Kutus Water Supply Last Mile Connectivity Project. a) 40.54 km Water Distribution pipeline and Associated Appurtenances. b) Break Pressure Tank -1 No Break Pressure Tank c) Ancillary works such as road crossings. d)2,000 Household connections. Clyster 2 - Chuka Water Supply Last Mile Connectivity Project. a) 31km Water Distribution pipeline and Associated Appurtenances and 115km of lateral lines. b) Break Pressure Tanks - 5 No. Break Pressure Tanks c) Ancillary works such as fencing, road crossings and relocation of services d)2.000 household connections. The overall objective of the assignment are as follows: 1) To carry out a review of the existing projects designs and bid documents; 2) To fulfill the role of the Engineers Representative in the supervision and Coordination of the construction works; 3) To supervise the appointed Contractor for Water Supply Last Mile Connectivity Projects in Tharaka Nithi and Kirinyaga Counties, in accordance with the conditions of contract, specifications and drawings. 4) The consultant will be responsible for ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with the designs, specifications and works contract documents while at all - time ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and timely completion; 5) To provide the client with regular status reports and other reports as per the Terms of Reference, together with all related necessary technical assistance and professional advice to the Client related to supervision of the construction of the said works; 6) Review and update existing ESIA reports and assist client in obtaining variation to existing NEMA license or new NEMA license as the case may be; 7) To undertake the design and preparation of drawings, and develop the tender documents for Water Supply Last Mile Connectivity Projects in Tharaka Nithi and Kirinyaga Counties; 8) To carry out RAP study and assist in the implementation of Resettlement of Project Affected Persons (PAPs).
