Tenders Are Invited For Beyond 5G Hub Over-The-Air Technology Validations (Artes 4.0 5G/6G 3F.063) - Expro+ Objective: The Objective Of The Activity Is To Develop And Implement Over-The-Air Beyond 5G (B5g) Satellite System Demonstrators That Validate Non-Terrestrial Network (Ntn) Technologydevelopments In Realistic Conditions.Targetedimprovements: Fostering The Adoption Of B5g Satellite Technologies.Description: A Number Of Technical Developments In The Area Of B5g Over Satellite Already Take Place As Part Of The Artes Work Plans And Other Research Activities. So Far, Thesedevelopments Have Not Always Been Evaluated And Performance Demonstrated In An End-To-End Or System Context, Which Is Paramount For Attracting The Interest Of Keystakeholders Such As Terrestrial Parties.To Fill This Gap, This Activity Will Develop And Implement A Number Of Over-The-Air System Demonstrators Thatwill Validate The Outcome Of Various B5g Technology Developmentsin A Number Of Terrestrial / Non-Terrestrial Networks (Tn / Ntn) Integrated Architectures. Besides, They Will Be Implemented In An Incremental Manner To Allow Incorporatingthose Developments At An Early Stage. As A Minimum, The Activity Will Demonstrate The Use Of 5G New Radio (Nr) Over Satellite In Different Orbits Using Either Transparentpayloads Or Space Segment That Has Some On-Board Processing Capabilities. A Number Of Existing And Planned Experimental Or Commercial Payloads Could Offer Suchprocessing Capability. Until These Become Available, The Activity Will Target B5g Over-The-Air Demonstrations Using Existing Space Segment And Release 19+ 5G Ntndevelopments. Furthermore, The Demonstrations Will Include Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (Ai/Ml) Concepts And Algorithms To Highlight Their Potential In Optimizingthe Tn/Ntn Convergence.
