Tenders are invited for t711-902sm Innovative Resilient Satellite Space System Design Technologies for Zero Debris (Expro+) Space debris poses a significant risk to operational satellites, with hypervelocity impacts (HVIs) being a major concern. The energy and frequency of such impacts vary across different orbital environments and developing robust spacecraft that can withstand theseimpacts while remaining functional is vital for sustainability. Current shielding technologies struggle with mass and volume constraints, making them less viable for certain missions so more efficient, lightweight, and innovative solutions are required. This activity involves a system level study of potential technologies for HVI shielding, that outputs conceptual designs for implementing those technologies at system level, supported by material testing and simulations. A trade off will highlight the most feasible and promising conceptual designs that merit further work.Read more Tender Link : https://esastar-publication-ext.sso.esa.int/ESATenderActions/filter/open
