The Municipal District Of Taber (Md) Is Seeking An Appropriate And Qualified Contractor To Complete Leak Detection Services On Each Of The Mds Water Distribution Systems In The Hamlet Of Grassy Lake, Alberta.The Successful Proponent Will Be Responsible For Providing All Equipment, Labour And Expertise Necessary To Perform Acoustic Leak Detection Survey Throughout The Hamlet. The Goal Is To Identify And Locate Any Hidden Leaks To Reduce Water Leakage And Prevent Catastrophic Pipe Failures.Scope Of Servicesgrassy Lake Consists Of:Oapprox. 7.6 Km Of Water Line Oapprox. 90 Valves, 235 Curb Stopsthe Successful Proponent Will Be Expected To Provide A Final Report Including Leak Findings That Include Summary Tables With Severity Of Leaks Detected, Negative Findings, As Well As Any Other Information Deemed Pertinent. The Md Will Provide Maps (Gis Or Paper) And Assistance With Any Stuck Valves And Locating Valve Caps Or Curb Stops That May Not Be Exposed. Pipe Material Information Is Limited, Ac, Pvc And Other Types Of Pipe May Be Scattered Throughout. Proponent Should Provide Confidence In Findings Based On The Limited Pipe Material Information.The Contractor Must Ensure All Safe Work Practices Are Followed When Work Is Being Performed And Will Be Considered The Prime Contractor On The Project. This Will Include Providing All Necessary Traffic Control Measures To Complete The Work Safely.
