Site Preparation Work – Explosive Ordnance Detection For The Construction Project To Upgrade The Weingarten Sewage Treatment Plant. Weber Ingenieure Gmbh Is Planning To Upgrade The Weingarten Sewage Treatment Plant On Behalf Of The “Am Walzbach” Wastewater Association. The Measure Includes The Construction Of A New Primary Clarifier, An Aeration Tank And A Secondary Clarifier As Well As A Gas Storage And Digester. The Construction Of Various Outbuildings Is Also Planned. The Planned Pools Will Embed 1 M To 3.5 M Into The Subsoil. Locally There Are Components With An Embedment Depth Of Up To 6 M. An Aerial Photo Research Revealed That The Area Relevant To The Study Area Was Covered By 89 Aerial Photos From The Flight Period From April 19, 1940 To September 8, 1945. A Representative Selection Of These Aerial Images Was Obtained. The Aerial Photographs Examined Show Evidence Of Bombing In The Area Under Investigation. An Explosive Bomb Crater Can Be Seen In The Southern Part. Based On These Findings, Part Of The Study Area Is Designated As A “Bombed Area”. The Subject Of The Tender Is The Preparatory Explosive Ordnance Exploration Work For Clearing The Construction Site. For This Purpose, 7,780 Linear Meters Of Drilling Are Planned For Around 1,000 Boreholes, Which Can Be Up To 8 M Deep. The Borehole Soundings Are To Be Carried Out As Auger Drilling With A 3-Axis Magnetometer. The Project Location Is Approximately 300 M North Of The Weingarten District Of Waldbrücke And Approximately 200 M Southeast Of The A5 Motorway. The Property Has The Parcel Number. 12482/47. In The West The Property Is Bordered By District Road 3539. Forest Borders The Property On The Remaining Sides. The Weingarten Sewage Treatment Plant Is Located On The Property. The Terrain Slopes Down By Approximately 2 M From South To North. In Addition To The Current Sewage Treatment Plant Property, The Construction Site Includes A Portion Of The Forest Property With Parcel Number 12482, Which Adjoins The Existing Sewage Treatment Plant To The Southwest. This Area Is Approximately 1,500 M² In Size And Is Approximately 2 M Lower Than The Sewage Treatment Plant. Surface Soundings Are To Be Carried Out Here On 1,275 M². These Explosive Ordnance Investigations Are Part Of This Award Procedure.
