Request for proposals for Provision and Management of Voucher Redemption Services Linked to Nutrition Outcomes under the One Egg Per Child Per Day Initiative One Egg Per Child Per Day Initiative Banadir Primary Health Care Consortium (BPHCC) is a national non-governmental organization implementing integrated health, nutrition, and community resilience programmes across Somalia. BPHCC works in close collaboration with community structures, Community Health Workers (CHWs), and CARE groups to strengthen Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) outcomes, improve access to essential health services, and reinforce community-based care systems. In response to recurrent drought, rising food insecurity, and persistent malnutrition, particularly among vulnerable households with young children, BPHCC is implementing the One Egg Per Child Per Day Initiative. The initiative is designed to address gaps in dietary diversity and child nutrition among children aged 659 months, a critical period for growth and development. The intervention adopts a nutrition-linked Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) approach, integrated with MIYCN and Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) programming. Under this project, BPHCC will support 1,712 households across eleven (11) villages through a conditional voucher assistance mechanism to improve access to nutrition-related products and services, with a particular focus on increasing the consumption of eggs and other animal-source foods among young children. Implementation will be anchored in community-based delivery mechanisms, including established CARE groups and Community Health Workers, to ensure transparency, accountability, and sustainability. Within this framework, contracted vendors play a critical role in enabling timely, reliable, and accountable delivery of nutrition-related products, thereby contributing to both immediate nutrition outcomes and longer-term household and community resilience.
