Expression of Interest for Provision of Consultancy Services for Design Review and Construction Supervision of Ground and Slopes Stabilization Works at Moi International Airport (Mia), Mombasa . The consultancy services will include but not limited to:- a) Design review; b) Construction supervision; i) Issue instructions necessary for execution of the works; ii) Monitoring and control of quality of works; iii) Monitoring and control of environmental, health and safety obligations of the Contractor; c) Review payment applications and issue payment certificates as appropriate; d) Make determinations as provided for in the contract; e) Periodically appraise the Employer on all aspects of the project; i) Convene and record all meetings (periodic, ad hoc, technical etc.) relating to the project; ii) Prepare Monthly Progress Reports; iii) Prepare periodic Project Appraisal Reports f) Monitoring performance during Defects Notification Period g) All other duties as specified in the Contract. 4. The consultancy period is expected to take 30 months (including 12 months Defects Notification Period) and given the location of the site, it will involve extensive stakeholder consultations, and collaboration with other government agencies and departments. 5. The Kenya Airports Authority now invites eligible consulting firms (Consultants) to express their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the requisite qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services (in the form of a detailed company profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, technical and managerial 2 capabilities, core business and years in business, availability of appropriate skillset among others). 6. To be shortlisted, bidders are required to demonstrate: i) Successful completion of at least one (1) consultancy assignment involving design or design review of ground stabilization project in the last five (5) years with a minimum construction value of USD 5,000,000.00 ii) Successfully completed construction supervision of at least three (3) large and complex ground and slope stabilization projects in the last ten (10) each with a minimum construction value of USD 15,000,000.00 iii) At least three of the above must be in coastal/marine or lakeside conditions in SubSaharan Africa. iv) Availability of an appropriate skills mix among proposed staff.
