The Contract Includes The Supply Of 4X4 Pick-Up Vehicles Used For Maintenance Work On Provincial Infrastructure Such As Roads, Bridges And Locks; Incident Management And Anti-Slip Conditions. Current Situation The Province Of Groningen Currently Has Five Diesel Pick-Ups. These Vehicles Were Purchased Second-Hand In 2022. The Pick-Ups Are Now Ten Years Old And Are Completely Depreciated, Both Technically And Economically. . Desired Situation The Current Diesel Pick-Ups Are Replaced By Fully Electric Vehicles. With This Transition, The Province Of Groningen Strives For A Modern, Future-Proof Fleet That Meets The Latest Sustainability Requirements. The Use Of Electric Pick-Ups Should Lead To Lower Operating Costs, A Reduction In Co₂ Emissions And Higher Reliability Of The Equipment. In Addition, The Electrification Of The Vehicle Fleet Contributes To Achieving Internal Sustainability Objectives And Is In Line With Increasingly Strict Environmental Regulations.
