Bids Are Invited For Ppta 59-26 “Contracting Ambulance Rental Service For Samu Base”

It Is Required To Contract, For A Period Of Twelve (12) Months, The Rental Service Of Replacement Ambulances Without The Associated Human Resources, In Order To Ensure The Operational Continuity Of The Hospitals Care System. This Need Arises From The Scheduling Of Workshop Interventions Between The Annual Preventive And Corrective Operations Of The Mobile Phones That Are Currently Used At The Dr. Hernán Henríquez Aravena Hospital. Currently, Samu Mobile Phones Are 9 And 10 Years Old, So They Have Multiple Failures, Interfering With The Correct Operational Performance Of The System, Given Their Essential Function For The La Araucanía Region. The Vehicles Of The Emergency Medical Care Service (Samu) Are Between 9 And 10 Years Old, Which Has Generated A Significant Increase In Technical Failures, Directly Affecting The Proper Functioning Of The System And Compromising The Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations. Given The Critical Importance Of These Mobile Phones In The Healthcare Network Of The Hospital And The City Of Temuco, It Is Essential To Have Replacement Units During Periods When The Titular Vehicles Are Out Of Service. It Is Estimated That Each Mobile Requires Between Five (5) To Seven (7) Days Of Preventive Maintenance, With An Average Of Three (3) To Four (4) Maintenance Per Unit Per Year. It Should Be Noted That This Ambulance Rental Service Must Include The Fuel To Be Used, Which Will Be Calculated Based On The Kilometers Traveled According To The Daily Requirement. It Should Be Considered That As It Is A Critical Service (Ambulances For Samu), A Quick Response To Unscheduled Requirements Is Required, Taking Into Account That The Operational Base Is In Temuco, So A Local Provider Reduces Travel Times To Deliver, Remove Or Replace Ambulances, In Case Of Failures, Which Would Not Be Feasible Or Would Be Slower And More Expensive If The Provider Is Located In Another Region.
