The project involves the controlled sinking of environmentally prepared, decommissioned vessels within a designated marine area to create an artificial reef and introduce new diving destinations. This initiative aims to enhance Bahrains marine tourism offerings, support sustainable underwater activities, and attract both local and international divers. this invitation qualified and approved environmental consultants to submit proposals for conducting an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Study and a Hydrodynamic Study. These studies will address potential environmental impacts, propose mitigation measures, and ensure full compliance with national and international environmental standards.
