In That Context, The Municipality Wishes To Investigate Whether The Market Also Considers Alternative Organizational Forms As Attractive And Workable. This Includes A Hybrid Model, In Which The Management Of The Environmental Station (For Example Supervision, Acceptance Of Waste Flows And Public Contact) Is Carried Out By Municipal Employees, While Transport And Processing Of The Waste Flows Are Provided By Market Parties. The Municipality Of Venlo Has Approximately 104 Thousand Inhabitants (January 1, 2025) And Is A Medium-Sized City With Surrounding Villages, Including Blerick, Tegelen And Arcen. Which Results In An Urbanization Class Of 3 (Moderate), Defined By A Population Density Between 1500-2000 Inhabitants Per Km. The Environmental Station Processes The Waste Flows Of Several Tens Of Thousands Of Visitors On An Annual Basis. This Includes Bulky Household Waste, Wood, Rubble, Green Waste, Metals, Electrical Appliances And Small Chemical Waste.
